FUENGIROLA’s annual March of Solidarity for the Association of Relatives of People with Alzheimer’s disease (AFA) will take place in the Reserva del Higueron district.

The event, the sixth of its kind in the town, is to be held on March 18 and is open to all ages and abilities.

Sports Councillor Pedro Cuevas is supporting the race and said:

“Sport can be a great generator of solidarity and people who participate in it often have an opportunity to engage with different charities.

“The council fully supports sporting activities in organised in our town and if they have a charitable agenda, so much the better.”

Jose Julio Revillas, Director of Salliver School, was keen to encourage “all families in Fuengirola, Benalmadena and Mijas to get involved as it is a family activity that does not require great physical exertion and in which all ages are welcome.”

The start time will be 10am and there are several racing routes depending on the category, ranging between two, four and eight kilometres.

Registration is €5 and can be made at the Salliver school or at the Reserva del Higueron resort’s reception desk.
