THE Ikos Resorts chain has purchased the Costa del Sol Princess hotel in Estepona, and will convert it into a luxury all-inclusive complex.
Current plans have the opening of the new resort scheduled for May 2020, and the project will also represent the inaugural Ikos Infinite Lifestyle experience.
Ikos Andalucia will have more than 400 rooms and suites distributed in seven buildings, with 70,000 square metres of facilities and gardens for guests to relax in.
It will feature eight restaurants as well as a theatre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sports facilities, and a spa.
Luis Herault, CEO of Ikos Iberia, said:
“Estepona has always been a destination of reference for travellers who seek the perfect combination of sun, sea, culture and a unique lifestyle.
“We are pleased to present in Spain our exclusive all-inclusive experience, and the promise of an incredible Infinite Lifestyle.”
It is estimated that recruitment will focus on local workers for at least 70 per cent of the 650 jobs that will be created.
The resort will become the company’s fifth after the opening of Ikos Dassia on Corfu in May 2018, and Ikos Aria on Kos in 2019.
