BRITISH fugitive Simon Corner who is wanted in Spain for the suspected murder of Scottish mother Lisa Brown who lived near Sotogrande has been arrested at Heathrow Airport.
He fled from the Spanish authorities in the latter part of last year after being extradited from Denmark but was allowed free on bail.
Crimestoppers UK and the British Ambassador to Spain Simon Manley hosted a press conference in southern Spain on March 28 of this year appealing for information on his whereabouts and offering a £100,000 reward.
A new international arrest warrant was only issued earlier in the year and Corner was arrested this Monday when he arrived at Heathrow on a flight from South America.
According to information just released by the Metropolitan Police, he was brought before Westminster Magistrates Court on Tuesday and has been remanded in custody until he is returned to Spain which is expected to be within the next 10 days.
