OFFICERS of the National Police have raided a building in Fuengirola which was advertised as a private club to promote the therapeutic qualities of cannabis derivatives.
Instead however, the premises were reportedly used for a full-scale marijuana and hashish trading business.
When they arrived at the scene the police found 12 people there smoking these drugs, whereupon they were arrested.
Eight of the group were Spanish, and there were two Germans and two others who did not have documentation.
In addition, a Moroccan man has been detained for alleged involvement in drug trafficking.
During the raid the police seized 432 grams of marijuana, 345 grams of hashish, a cutting knife, containers for the drugs, scales, documents, and a range of cannabis components.
The premises have been sealed off with the approval of both Fuengirola council and the Malaga police corps.
