IT takes considerable time to arrange even a short overseas tour with the need to find venues and promote the events.
But to then discover that due to no fault of your own but a double booking caused by an employee of one of your venues must be heartbreaking for artist and promoter alike and irritating at best for those who had booked tickets.
This is exactly what has happened to the four West End stars of the musical Jersey Boys who are touring the Costa del Sol with their Valli Seasons show as they have had one of their performances cancelled.
Originally scheduled to appear at the Felipe VI Auditorium, Estepona on Saturday, May 5, their promoter Big M has just been advised that due to a clerical error there had been a double booking an event for the local council and therefore at short notice the Valli Seasons performance has been cancelled.
Disappointed theatregoers who had already booked will naturally have their ticket money refunded but with so little time to rearrange the date, no new venue could be found for that Saturday and it has left the promoter out of pocket and the performers without a gig on that is probably the busiest night of any week.
Perhaps this cloud may have a silver lining as anyone who was thinking of going to Estepona can consider attending one of the four remaining dates;
Wednesday May 2 – La Sala Banus (Dinner/show) book direct with La Sala
Thursday May 3 – Salón del Mar, Torre del Mar
Friday May 4 – Moonlight Bar, Benalmadena
Sunday May 6 – Avanto Concert Room, Mijas Costa
