Celebrating a Royal Match on the Costa del Sol with a prize draw

THE response from the community in the Costa del Sol has been incredible with more than 100 people already indicating that they want to attend but there are still a few seats available.

Latest great news is that Currencies Direct have donated a large screen TV as a raffle prize and the British Ambassador to Spain has recorded a special message for guests.

The whole point of this event is to give elderly or disabled expatriates the opportunity to enjoy the Royal Wedding in the company of others so hurry and call 600 583 579 or email now to see if there is still room.

EWN Media Group (of which RTN Newspaper is the newest addition) is part of a caring community which is why such recent exclusive stories covering the squatters nightmare endured by 69-year-old Anita Pillay and husband Tony, who returned from a London trip to find their Torremolinos home occupied, sparked an incredible response with generous offers of help.

Fuengirola-based firms Yorkshire Linen and Los Warehouse supplied new bedding and kitchenware, respectively, while Age Concern Costa del Sol got in touch to offer clothing free of charge.

Many people offered the couple money to tide them over, and one generous soul even donated a 32-inch flat screen television to replace the one stolen, which was a gift from the couple’s son.

A delighted Anita told our sister newspaper Euro Weekly News “I can’t actually thank everyone enough, with your support we are slowly managing to rebuild our lives. “God bless you, thank you so much.”

With the Royal Wedding literally around the corner, the local community has once again pulled out all the stops for a special FREE event at Restaurant Villalinda in Mijas, where Harry and Meghan’s big day will be projected onto a giant screen.

The owners of the restaurant had no compunction about agreeing to open their doors to those who would enjoy the spectacle in the company of like-minded expatriates.

Two local talents Antony Wolfson and One Wish Steve have agreed to entertain, there will be Pimms on arrival followed by a light lunch and cava as guests watch the happy couple tie the knot.

There will also be a raffle with great prizes, and a special prize for the best-dressed attendee on the day.

All are welcome but places are limited so you MUST confirm your place in advance by calling 600 583 579 or emailing
