Help at Home – what’s in a name?

AT the recent Annual General Meeting, the members voted to re-register the charity as HAH (Help at Home) Mar Menor.

We all believe that the new name better describes our area of activity.

At the same time we took the opportunity to bring the statutes up to date without altering our aims or ambitions.

May is certainly going to be a busy month for us at HAH.

Our priority, as ever, is to help and we are busy completing our preparations for some special events, one of which is a Fashion Show next Wednesday, May 16. There is no need to get tickets in advance for this as it’s a pay on the door event.

Full details are on our Facebook page: HAH (Help At Home) Mar Menor, and on our web page www.helpathome.es

Fundraising is vital to us.

We do not charge for any of the help we give, nor for any of the mobility aids we loan out to residents and visitors alike.

We can arrange for specialist help, and in exceptional circumstances we may make a contribution towards the cost of this. Help in and around the home is available to any English speaking people in temporary need following accident or illness.

If you or someone you know needs help, call us on 633 673 034.

If we can help we will.

Regular monthly meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at the Las Claras Centre in Los Narejos beginning at 11am.
