MARBELLA COUNCIL is to invest €300,000 to renovate the Plaza de Toros bullring in Marbella.
The arena has been closed for months, unable to host any cultural events due to its lack of compliance with regulations.
However, the town hall have decided to take action using funds from its sustainable investment plan, and the works will be undertaken in phases.
Along with reconstruction work to repair damage, painting, cleaning, signage and new fire safety measures will be introduced.
The Marbella bullring was opened in 1964 and holds 9,500 spectators.
