TRIBUTES continue to pour in after the sudden death of local radio presenter Peter Hurst.
It is understood that the very popular afternoon show host suffered a massive heart attack on Friday evening within hours of finishing his week of programmes for BIG FM.
Peter Hurst had been working on local Costa Blanca radio for the past eight years, with stints on Real Radio, TKO and, since January, with BIG FM. His rich voice made him ideal for the world of radio, and combined with his love and knowledge of music he quickly became a favourite of the listeners in a short time.
As the news of his death was shared on social media, the shock and disbelief at Peter’s passing was palpable, especially from those listeners who had only spoken and interacted with him on air just hours earlier. A number of his current and former radio colleagues were equally saddened and shared their own heartfelt tributes and memories of a special person who will be much missed.
A Civil Service is being held this Thursday, June 28 at 11am at the Rojales Tanatorio.
