TWO local policemen in Estepona have been arrested for the alleged rape of an 18 year-old woman.
The officers, aged 37 and 38, have been charged with sexual assault, threatening behaviour, prevarication and a crime against public health.
The victim had arrived in Estepona with two friends on Saturday night, to have a few days of relaxation after finishing their exams.
Their car was stopped by the two officers, who asked the person driving if he had been drinking alcohol, to which he admitted he had, as they were celebrating.
The three teens were then instructed to get out of the vehicle, take a taxi, and the policemen would return the car at the end of their working day.
According to the report from the complainant, moments after the three friends arrived at their home, the two officers arrived in the car.
They were allegedly carrying cocaine and the attack happened shortly afterwards, with one of the friends managing to call the National Police.
The victim was transferred to a hospital and statements were collected from all possible witnesses.
