MARBELLA mayor Angeles Muñoz has announced that the council will invest €1.3 million to transform a public building into an official School of Languages.
Located on Alfredo Palma Avenue, the building is 1,000 square metres and mayor Muñoz said: “We have had approval from the Junta de Andalucia and this is an important project that we have been requesting for some time.”
The council has been able to find the funds for the renovations works due to monies recovered from legal cases of corruption, including the infamous ‘Malaya’ case.
The new premises will have eleven classrooms, a multi-purpose room, a library, an archive space, among other facilities.
Mayor Muñoz expects the School of Languages to be up and running by September 2019.
