Council encourages children to get creative
MARBELLA COUNCIL’s Department of Culture and Education has launched 35 children’s and youth workshops this summer.
The aim is to stimulate creativity among students “to feed their innate curiosity, while they have fun learning,” said Councillor for Culture, Carmen Diaz.
The activities, which will begin on July 23 and will continue until the last week of August, are aimed at children between 5 and 12 years old.
They will take place at the Cortijo Miraflores Cultural Centre and at the Antonio Gala libraries in Nueva Andalucia and Caballero Bonald of Las Chapas.
Activities include percussion, creative calligraphy, and “playing with maths.”
The initiative is one of the actions outlined the council’s Sustainable Development Plan, and the workshops are free of charge.
