OFFICERS of the National Police have arrested two Spanish women in Murcia, for alleged crimes of fraud and forgery.

The suspects, 30 and 35-years-old, offered people loans online, ranging from €300 to €60,000, and asked for advance payments for processing purposes.

The initial payments requested were in the region of €75 and €2,000, and the detainees were able to scam people out of a total of more than €10,000.

During their investigations, officers discovered around online 45 advertisements and, of course, the loans offered were never paid.

Police enquiries began after a complaint was filed from a resident in Fuengirola in relation to the forgery of his name and signature, with which the suspects were producing their false documents.
