IN a combined operation between officers of the National Police based in Alicante and Murcia a gang of four alleged drug dealers have been arrested and two kilos of cocaine seized.

The group were known to the police and were being observed by officers in Murcia but it was believed that they were looking to expand their area of operation into Alicante City.

As the gang travelled to the Alicante capital, officers who had been in communication with their colleagues in Murcia, swooped on the group and arrested them, discovering two kilos of cocaine.

Searches of the property of the four men aged between 32 and 59 revealed €3,000 in cash and a special radio device believed to be used as a frequency jammer to inhibit messages between officers.
