A 23-year-old man has been arrested by the National Police in Estepona, after spreading panic outside a nightclub.

The man had been thrown out of the Mosaic Music club, on Avenida de Juan Carlos I, for smoking in the VIP area.

He was enraged at the situation and allegedly began threatening the doormen with phrases like “you are going to hear about this” and “you do not know who I am.”
A few minutes later a Mercedes was driven at speed past the nightclub entrance and almost hit two young people.

The driver then went down a one way street in the wrong direction and circled back to the club where he nearly knocked over a girl.

He fled the scene again but in his frenzy crashed into a taxi, and his car was later removed by a crane and taken to a municipal warehouse.

Officers learned the name of the detainee by asking for the details of the nightclub VIP area booking.

The man tried to report his car to the police as stolen, but was instead arrested and will face a number of charges.
