AFTER a number of complaints from both local people and councils, the Marina Alta will soon have their ambulance service reinforced with two new vehicles.
The decision means that there will be two Unaided Transportation Ambulances (TNA) about to join the fleet.
Among the municipalities that asked for these extra services were El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, who made the decision public earlier this week and were delighted that the other vehicle would be located in nearby Javea.
Benitatxell’s Councillor for Health, Dirk Rheindork, reported his concerns of the shortcomings of the ambulance service at a meeting with the Ministry of Health…and it’s as a result of this that the concession was made to increase the coverage.
According to reports, Councillor Rheindork is “very satisfied with the actions carried out by the Ministry of Health, as well as the quick response to the request to enhance the service in the municipality.”
