A 28-YEAR-OLD Dominican woman has been arrested in Murcia by the Guardia Civil, after allegedly attacking her 11-year-old son.
According to reports, the incident took place on Sunday when a neighbour alerted the authorities after finding the young boy crying in a garden after he’d fled the family home. The neighbour said that he showed signs of having been hit quite badly.
Local Police from La Torres were called to the scene and subsequently rushed him to the local medical centre when they saw how badly hurt he was. Such were his injuries; the decision was taken to move him to the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital for a more thorough examination.
During a statement, the boy – who has Spanish nationality – confirmed he’d escaped from his mother after being beaten by her.
After being released from hospital, it’s understood the boy was taken into the care of the Santo Angel Children’s Home.
