Costa Dance Centre ‘shines’ at Sunday parade ahead of Benidorm Palace showcase

IT’S been a busy few months for the students of Marcia’s Dance Centre and Stage school. For the first time in their 40 year history they performed in the Moors and Christians Sunday parade, entertaining the crowd with their Pirate routine.

With barely time to catch their breath the students were back in the studio and are hard at work rehearsing for the Spotlight production, ‘A Time to Shine’, to be shown at The Benidorm Palace this Sunday, November 25. This gives the young dancers an exciting opportunity to showcase their talents alongside other dance schools from the Costa Blanca region.

Just in case these events weren’t keeping them busy enough both the children and adult students are putting time aside to practice a few song and dance routines for Calpe’s Christmas fair and will be performing in the old town on Saturday, December 8.

Teacher and Choreographer, Phaedra Vaughan, stated how proud she is of her students and praised them for their commitment.

After the Christmas break rehearsals will begin for the popular annual charity show scheduled for February, and the Students have already been booked for the Moors and Christians main Saturday Parade next year.

If you are interested in joining in the fun please contact Marcia’s Dance Centre on 607 290 896 or 96 583 0980 or find them on Facebook.

Aspiring dancers and performers of all ages and abilities are all welcome; absolutely no experience necessary.
