Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, has now been released from intensive care and is now back on a low dependency ward according to government sources.
He has responded well to treatment and can now take a little exercise in between resting. The 55 year old had spent 3 night in ICU.
Mr Johnson has now spent his 7th night in hospital after being admitted last Sunday having tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab is deputising for Boris in his absence.
Downing street officials say that he is making “excellent progress” in his recovery, although there has been no indication as yet to when he will be released from hospital. These remarks were made after it was confirmed another 917 coronavirus patients have died in hospitals across the UK bringing the total deaths so far to 9,875.
We wish Mr Johnson all the very best in his continued recovery and hope that he will be back at the helm leading the country in the fight to beat this Corona virus pandemic very soon.
