UK Chain Greggs propose reopening trial on 4th May

Greggs stores in the UK are proposing a trial opening of 20 shops on 4th May.

Takeaway and deliveries only to begin with along with reduced opening hours in the Newcastle area initially. If all goes well they aim to reopen all of their 2000 Greggs shops by 1st July.

B&Q have already reopened half of its UK stores with strict social distancing for Staff and clients.

Key and Shoe Repair concessions chain Timpsons aims to reopen 40 branches this week in major supermarkets.

John Lewis is preparing an opening schedule, but has released no details as yet.

All these proposals depend on the Governments reactions to the daily changes with the epidemic.
