A man with a history of violent and fraudulent crimes has been arrested following an investigation of the death of a pensioner in Andalusia.
The elderly man of 70 was beaten so badly he spent nearly a month on a life support machine before dying of his injuries, it has been confirmed.
He was beaten after the accused entered his home in Velez-Malaga, inbetween Malaga city and Nerja.
The intruder was known to the police as an ex-professional boxer and had a history of violent offences and for being known as a conman.
He was found to have been using up to thirty different identities which kept police off of him.
Upon his arrest, the Guardia Civil linked him to other numerous burglaries and home invasions across Malaga Province, especially the Axarquia area in which the elderly man was killed.
He has been charged with murder aswell as three counts of violent robbery.
The police say they are now further investigating more robberies of similiar nature from across the area.
