In an extremely remote area of Australia residents have been told to get down the pub to celebrate the easing of lockdown measures.
The Northern Territory have recorded NO new cases of COVID-19 now for 3 weeks and are setting up to detail plans to restart the local economy.
Social gather limitations for weddings, funerals and non-contact sports will be lifted Friday, with restrictions on restaurants and pubs lifted mid May and everything else back to normal on 5th June. To celebrate the return to some sort of normality Chief Minister Michael Gunner told reporters “May 15 date night, June 5th Sunday sesh (pub session)” The proposal is not really very surprising as the Northern Territory has the highest alcohol consumption per person in Australia !!
