Bill Turnbill, former presenter of BBC Breakfast, says he feels “calm” about the prospect of death after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017. The 64 year old revealed his diagnosis in 2018 and says it has helped him to form a healthy relationship with death and knows that the Grim Reaper is waiting for him. Although he is currently in good health he has been making plans and arranging his funeral, even choosing the music he would like played.
Turnbill left the BBC for ITV in 2014 and now hosts Good Morning Britain, having struck up a popular partnership with Piers Morgan. In 2019 he hosted a documentary called “Bill Turnbill – Staying Alive” which saw him exploring possible treatments for prostate cancer.
