Britain’s Beaches in lockdown: It seems that the British public have taken heed of Government advice to stay at home over this weekend as the usual beaches and beauty spots remained quiet.
In contrast however DIY shops such as B & Q and Homebase were doing a roaring trade as people queued up to shop. Many were snapping up items to spruce up their gardens before the summer.
Staff at these shops were doing their job properly, making sure they were well protected and only allowing a certain number in at a time according to the new safety rules.
Cars were also queuing to get in to waste disposal plants that have only just reopened since the lockdown started. Some customers were arriving at 7am to get in and get rid of their rubbish which has built up over the past few weeks. In contrast just a handful of people were on Bournemouth beach despite the warm weather.
