The number of coronavirus deaths have increased with today being the highest total deaths for daily records this week.
Four people have died of the virus in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of deaths in Malaga Province to 278.
The deaths come as the whole of Malaga moves into phase 1 with other parts of the nation, including much of the Costa del Sol and Costa Brava and asks the question whether a less stricter lockdown can be achievable long term.
However, the number of actual virus contraction cases has dropped significantly across the region.
Only eight people have contracted the virus in the last 24 hours bringing the total number to 4068 for Malaga Province, which is welcome news as the region moves away from lockdown restrictions.
