An unidentified man from Swindon, Wiltshire, who smashed a car window to rescue a dog that was trapped inside on a hot day will not face charges from the Police. After smashing the glass he lifted the dog out of the car and later passed it to police, who reunited it with it’s owner when he returned to the vehicle. Police were called to the incident at around 10am on Monday morning after receiving reports that a 14 week old terrier was in distress. Inspector Steph Daly of the Wiltshire Police said “people don’t think it will happen to them. If your trip is going to take longer than expected please do not take your dog to the supermarket in the car”.
