Donald Trump blames China for ‘mass killings’.

US President Donald Trump took to Twitter to launch a tirade against the Chinese accusing them of starting and mishandling the Covid-19 pandemic.

President Trump tweeted: “Some wacko in China just released a statement blaming everybody other than China for the Virus which has now killed hundreds of thousands of people. Please explain to this dope that it was the ‘incompetence of China, and nothing else, that did this mass Worldwide killing!”

His outburst comes as Chinese political figures blamed shift to the rest of the world. Chinese Foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said the US was trying to smear China and had miscalculated by trying to use China to avoid its own responsibility.

Trump also labelled his nation having the highest number of corona cases in the world as ‘a badge of honour’.

His bizarre labelling comes as the United States currently has 1.56 million cases of Covid-19 with 92,333 Americans having died.

Tensions remain high as China plans to extend blockades of tariffs on US allies such as Australia after the Australians have led a plea to the UN Council to question Beijing over how the virus came about.

However, China’s president has called for an independent review of the world’s response to the pandemic led by the World Health Organisation and defended his country’s own handling of the pandemic.

President Xi called the pandemic “the most serious global public health emergency since the end of World War Two” and has pledged 2 billion dollars of Chinese money to help contain the virus.
