The government are considering expanding household groups so that members of a household can socialise with people from another house.
In the new strategy, published on Monday afternoon, it stated that it would allow those feeling isolated some more social contact. In Mr Johnson’s address on Sunday he said that people can meet up with one person from a different household in outdoor spaces. As long as the social distancing requirements were adhered to.
Although this statement has led people to believe they can meet up with their closest family members and friends at close quarters, either inside or outside. The government said it is also looking into allowing meetings in “slightly larger groups”. So as to facilitate small weddings. All these measures would form the basis of “step 2” of the governments plan which is not expected to start until 1st June.
