Government scientist Neil Ferguson, whose advice to Boris Johnson helped the Prime Minister put the lockdown in place, has resigned from his advisory position on Tuesday night.
After reports that he broke the strict lockdown social distancing rules to meet up with his married lover. Professor Ferguson allowed her to go to his home to meet in secret whilst lecturing the country on how to social distance in order to halt the spread of the virus.
The woman lives in another house with her husband and children. Ferguson has frequently appeared in media praising the “very intensive social distancing measures”. It has been revealed that on at least two occasions Antonia Staats, aged 38, traveled across London to go to his home even though the scientist himself had just finished 2 weeks of isolation after being diagnosed with the corona virus.
