Iranian ship sunk by friendly fire killing dozens

Iranian Navy ship ‘Konark’ sunk after being hit by friendly fire when the Navy was testing a new anti-ship missile. The incident occured on Sunday near the Strait of Hormuz. It was reported as a crash by the official reports. Unofficial sources said it was a premature firing by the frigate ship Jamark when Konark placed the floating target and couldn’t get far enough away to save itself.
