Five players in La Liga’s top two divisions have been tested positive for coronavirus.
La Liga made the announcement that five detections of Covid-19 have been found.
All of the players who have been infected with the virus, are currently asymptomatic.
It is thought that they are all edging towards the latter stages of the virus.
So far the players have remained unnamed.
La Liga Protocol
In the event of a positive test La Liga have stated that players should remain in quarantine at home.
Players can stick to the same individual training regime, as permitted by the Spanish government.
And in line with the club’s instructions.
They will be allowed to join the rest of their team mates, and use club facilities, after two negative tests.
La Liga has also said that it will offer tests to those living with someone who has been infected.
Spanish Government Phases
Previously the Spanish government introduced a plan in phases of how people can resume back to pre-virus conditions.
When the second stage in that process is reached, or phase 1 in government terms, players can begin group training.
Barcelona Restart Training
Barcelona are among many La Liga clubs who are thought to have begun individual training.
Players have to be tested for coronavirus two days before any solitary training.
All coaches and staff will also be tested.
La Liga is looking to resume playing in June, with 11 games remaining in La Liga 1.
All national associations have to alert Uefa by 25 May, on whether they wish to complete or cancel competition.
