A man has found a 120 year old secret tunnel underneath his property while drilling a hole in the wall.
Jake Brown discovered the cavernous area after noticing that one wall had a different texture to the rest while doing DIY work on his home in Plymouth. On further inspection, and some hole drilling, he peered through the gap with a torch and was stunned to find the tunnel.
Inside he discovered old bottles with evidence on them that they dated back to the early 1900s whilst remains of a newspaper showed that the tunnel had been bricked up more than 50 years ago. Upon measuring the space he found it to be 5 metres deep, 3 metres in height and 3 metres in width.
