A mother of twins, two 8 year old boys, has been shot dead in a farmhouse in Suffolk and a man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The woman, named as Silke Hartshorne-Jones, died from her injuries in Ipswich hospital on Sunday. Police were called to the house in Barham at around 4.45am to find her with “serious injuries”. Mrs Hartshorne-Jones, who was a lawyer in her 40’s, lived in the house with her husband and twin boys. It remains cordoned off by police and a 51 man is in custody. A neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said that it was a terrible tragedy, we are a close knit community here.
Mrs Hartshorne-Jones Linked In profile said that she was a multilingual corporate solicitor. She is licenced to practice in Germany as well as England and Wales. She is responsible for “the legal and compliance function” at the company she worked for.
