A police officer had to be rushed to hospital after being attacked by a gang of youths when he approached them regarding breaking the corona virus rules.
Surrey Police said that the officer, working alone, had been called to West Byfleet Park in south west London after he had a report that a group of young people were breaking social distancing guidelines. Whilst questioning them an altercation ensued and the officer was taken to hospital with head and wrist injuries. They said that a short time later three individual, one man and two teenagers, were taken into custody. Thankfully the officers injuries were only minor.
