A public house in London apparently opened it’s doors to customers on Friday as the nation celebrated VE day. Pictures on social media sites appeared to show dozens of revellers enjoying themselves at the Plume of Feathers in Greenwich, London. Under government measure pubs were closed in March to help stop the spread of the corona virus. Witness however claimed that about 30 people were outside the pub celebrating and social distancing was being ignored.
The pubs landlady, Susan Rose, has spoken out, claiming that the pub was following all the guidelines set out whilst hosting the VE day event. She went on to say that ” orders were taken outside the pub and drinks were served outside in plastic glasses. The social distancing was working very well”.
