Public house in Sheffield flouts lockdown

Police were amazed to find drinkers ‘hiding in cupboards’ in a Public house in Sheffield. Officers had visited The Pitsmoor on April 24th after reports from members of the public saying that the premises had continued to serve customers after the lockdown was put into place. They were shocked to find the pub was still open. Earlier in April the nearby Staffordshire Arms was continuing “shamelessly” to serve customers even though they should of been closed. Both pubs have now been served with prohibition notices.

However, the landlord of BOTH public houses, Paul Greasby, denied the claims, saying “I will not be commenting at this stage, however the press have wildly exaggerated their reporting”.
