Sir David Attenborough celebrates his 94th birthday this Friday after first appearing on our TV screens more than 60 years ago. He made his debut on a program called Zoo Quest in 1954. His programs, mainly about our planet and the life that lives on it, have been watched by millions and influenced many a public debate.
Since turning 90 he has turned his back on all the fuss that family and friends try to make on his special day. He was due to release a new program called “A life on our planet” via Netflix but it has now been postponed due to the corona crisis.
