The Health Ministry of Spain has released the latest figures of deaths and infections of Covid-19.
There have been 95 deaths in the last 24 hours continuing the trend with Spain having less than 100 deaths per day this week for the first time since the peak of the pandemic.
However, it is up from the 83 deaths recorded yesterday.
Catalonia, which includes Barcelona in the region, account for 42% of today’s total deaths of 40 people.
The Spanish health ministry have confirmed that there has been 416 new positive cases in the last 24 hours, up from 295 yesterday.
The over 75s continue to be the most prevalent of all cases as the age bracket has been the worst hit since the virus outbreak started at the beginning of the year.
