Spain is Europe’s Coronavirus “blackspot”
A recent report by John Hopkins University shows Spain as Europe’s “Blackspot”. With a higher percentage of fatalities per 100,000 residents than any other European country.
With a staggering 51.95 fatalities per 100,000 of the population, coming higher even than Italy with 45.81. The UK comes in at 39.35, the third highest in the report.
With Spain having some of the strictest lockdown regulations in force, these figures are even more disturbing.
With some lockdown measures now being relaxed in Spain, these statistics may change. In this unknown territory the world is in, nobody knows for sure what effect relaxation of lockdown will have. We may be over the worst, or there may be second wave once social distancing is relaxed.
Many experts predict that there will be second wave once self isolation relaxes.
