Spain’s La Liga football to return

The eagerly-awaited top flight Primera Division of Spanish football will return in June it has been reported.

June the 12th will see the season resume where it left off with Real Betis facing Sevilla, reported by Spanish radio.

La Liga will reportedly share the schedule of all upcoming matches with all clubs next Thursday.

Barcelona’s first game should be away in Palma at RCD Mallorca as they were meant to meet on March the 15th before the corona pandemic suspended play.

The Catalan giants who are reigning champions, also have a pending second leg match against Napoli in the UEFA Champions League.

They drew 1-1 away in Naples and bring their away goal home to the Camp Nou for the deciding fixture to see who goes through to the quarter finals.

Real Madrid’s next fixture should be away at Leganes. They also have a round of 16 Champions League tie away at Manchester City.

They are currently 2-1 down on aggregate after Gabriel Jesus and Kevin de Bruyne fought a stunning late comeback at the Bernabeu.

Barclona and Real currently sit 1st and 2nd in the league table respectively.

Malaga currently sit 15th in La Liga second division and are due to play away at southern rivals Almeria who sit 6 points adrift of the top in 3rd position.
